Welcome to the Pasadena High School Alumni Webpage on ThaWilsonBlock® Network. It is our wish to create a place where Bulldog graduates of all ages can come together to share their experiences of the years spent as a student at Pasadena High School. We hope that our site will allow our alum to keep in touch with their classmates.
In addition we hope through our web site that we will keep you informed about the current activities at Pasadena High School and of the goings on of our current study body. We invite you come back to Pasadena High School. Come see one of our many athletic games and don't forget the Homecoming Turkey Tussle Football Game vs John Muir High School in November. Or what about supporting our music programs by coming to one of their concerts. You will find all of our school activities listed on the web site under the calendar section.
If you are in a position to give back why not give back something to Pasadena High School? We are always looking for people to share their careers with our students at our Annual Career Day; or what about donating your time and expertise to some of our, specialized programs - Speech & Debate, music, our school newspaper - The Chronicle, or our many athletic programs; why not advertise in our school newspaper or yearbook or donate to one of the many scholarship programs honoring past students and staff.
We encourage every Bulldog to register their information on this website and to share in any news about oneself, family or other classmates. So far there are almost 2000 previous Pasadena High School students who have registered on this site. The process is easy and the information shared is up to the individual´s discretion. This site will also serve as a means to communicate information about upcoming reunions and other alumni sponsored events.
If you have any information regarding an upcoming reunion or event, please feel free to notify us (Email) so we can post it on this site.
The school was first established as a district school in 1884 and became Pasadena High School in 1891. In 1928, the school merged into Pasadena Junior College and operated as a four-year school, grades 11, 12, 13 and 14. Pasadena realigned its 6-4-4 school system in 1954 with Pasadena High School regaining its separate identity. PHS, however, shared the Pasadena City College Colorado Boulevard campus through the graduating class of 1960 when PHS moved to its present campus on Sierra Madre Boulevard at Washington Boulevard.
In 2009, the school had 2213 students, with 51% Latino/Hispanic, 23% Black, 19% White, and the remainder belonging to other races.
Pasadena High School offers several special unique programs. The Graphic Communications Academy was established in partnership with the Printing Industry of Southern California and Pasadena City College. The Visual Arts and Design Academy is linked with the Art Center College of Design, Pasadena City College and the Pasadena Art Armory. The Center for Independent Study program is a remedial program to help students who are behind in credits.
